Durran Durra, NSW: Shed to Studio Conversion 

This project in Durran Durra, near Braidwood NSW, was a masterful exercise in structural conversion and high-quality insulation. We took an existing, non-functional timber shed and completely transformed it into a fully insulated, practical backyard studio.  

The construction involved extensive new floor structure, internal and external framing, new timber double hung windows and French Doors, and insulation work to walls and ceilings to ensure the new studio meets modern thermal and structural standards, making it comfortable and habitable year-round. Critically, we carefully retained the existing weatherboard panelling  on the exterior. This decision allowed the new studio to seamlessly integrate with the aesthetic of the main property, preserving the rural charm and character of the property while delivering a brand-new, functional space. The conversion showcases our ability to achieve contemporary functionality while working within existing structures and architectural requirements.
